Last month, Bruce Katz, director of the Brookings Institution's Metropolitan Policy Program and a national thought leader on Innovation Districts, visited Chattanooga. Katz's visit and feedback proved that a mid-sized city can unleash and maintain a distinctive innovation economy and become recognized on a national scale. Chattanooga,  the first mid-sized city to establish an innovation district, announced earlier this year, proves that our city is adept at leveraging our authentic assets.
